ASE CONNECT

A youth and community enrichment project serves to provide dynamic opportunities for African youth to explore their potential from within and beyond our communities. Through providing workshops, which introduce speakers who will explore topics related to culture, identity and effective skills. We aim to connect our young people to our communities and existing resources. We are committed to creating and strengthening relationships between youth, their families and our communities so that we work towards their individual and collective growth.

After a community based needs assessment, our workshops and events will cater to the specific areas of support;

  • Enrichment and strengthening positive and healthy relationships between youth, families and the greater community
  • Strategizing and coordinating relevant and community based approaches regarding crime prevention
  • Enhance culture, identity and effective skills amongst youth, families and communities through a pan African approach
  • Foster strong support systems via community and social service providers

We have currently identified our main stakeholders and target audience from which we will be gathering our youth and their families, social and justice service providers and government officials. We will be focusing on our outreach and upcoming community leader meetings, upcoming conversation cafeS and formation of our community advisors committee.
